A report published by the National Statistics Institute in Spain has revealed the warmest, wettest and sunniest parts of the country of Spain in recent years. It will come as no surprise to many to find that the Canary Islands came top of the league in various categories. Tenerife was named as a top performer with highest average temperatures and it also recorded the most hours of sunshine.
The statistics showed that Tenerife recorded 3,565 hours of sunshine in a year which equates to almost 10 hours per day. The Canary Islands were also found to have the least rainfall, perfect for holidaymakers and the ever growing population of migrants seeking a better climate.
