The Canary Islands are free from endemic disease and sanitation facilities are excellent.

There are plenty of private schools throughout the island; however, the majority are Spanish with their curriculae differing from the United Kingdom. The tuition at these schools is in Spanish.

British Nationals visiting or residing in Tenerife have the benefit of a high level of support from the British Consulate.
